Wikimarathon "Day of Women and Girls in Science"

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11th), IDIBAPS joins the Wikimarathon "Day of Women and Girls in Science” coordinated by the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB).

Organized in conjunction with the Espai Viquidones of Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), it will be held online on February 8th, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The goal is to close the gender gap on Wikipedia and to vindicate and make women scientists more visible. During the activity, participants will edit Wikipedia, creating, translating or improving pages with female contributions to science.

The Wikimarathon is open to everyone, no prior experience is required—there will be expert staff support—and anyone can edit in the language of their preference and for as long as they want.
