ToolBox, IDIBAPS Talk Series: FAIR principles in public research projects: plan your research data and be FAIR

IDIBAPS rescheduled the Toolbox session, IDIBAPS Talks Series, postponed last November 22.

On Monday, January 16, 2023, at 15h, will take place the session 'FAIR principles in public research projects: plan your research data and be FAIR' by Carme Reverté, head of the Research Data Management Service of Agricultural Research and Technology Institute (IRTA). After the session, IDIBAPS researchers, who request it, will have the opportunity to meet the expert.

The speaker has more than 17 years of experience in the research and knowledge management industry.

The session will present an overview of research data management that follows the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) principles established as a requirement by public funding bodies. More and more, in order to grant their resources, these agencies ask to make use of FAIR type data and also to establish the corresponding Data Management Plans (DMPs). During the talk you will learn about the good practices of research data management, the importance of FAIR principles and how to involve those principles in the DMPs.

This activity is opened to people from inside and outside the institution. It is a hybrid event, it will be possible to participate directly in the Esteve Auditorium of the Esther Koplowitz Center or via Zoom. To access digitally it is necessary to register in advance to receive a personal connection link, there is time until the same day to do so.

The activity is organized with the support of the Fundación Española por la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT) and the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. This is also promoted by the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) of the institution.
