Professor of Chair of the Neurology Department at the Faculty of Medicine (University of Barcelona) and Director of the Parkinson Disease and Movement Disorder Research Unit at the University of Barcelona Hospital for 25 years Dr. Tolosa founded the University of Barcelona Brain Bank, which he directed during 15 years. He has been a member of the Executive Committee of the CIBERNED (Centro de Investigación en Red sobre Enfermedades Neurodegenerativas) Instituto de Salud Carlos III, Minsiterio de Investigacion y Ciencia , Madrid , Spain, since 2007. And has been awarded in 2015 the prestigious American Academy Neurology Movement Disorder Research Award
