Líneas de investigación

  • Utility of cardiac magnetic resonance in the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias

Obtaining MRI and analysis of the arrhythmia substrate using specialized software.

  • Utility of ECG imaging in locating abnormal conduction zones and in mapping arrhythmias.

This involves obtaining images of the heart’s electrical activity in a noninvasive manner in order to apply this knowledge to developing ablation strategies.

  • Role of stimulation of the conduction system in cardiac stimulation.

Study of new physiologic stimulation techniques. Assessment of results and complications.

  • Study of the utility of new mapping tools in ablation of ventricular tachycardia

Treatment of ventricular tachycardia requires detailed mapping of the circuits. Currently, catheters are used that are more accurate than is required to establish its utility in routine treatment.
