Evaluation of the Home Hospitalization Program in bariatric surgery
Title
Objective
The HaD program may be a safe and less expensive alternative to conventional hospitalization of surgical patients, allowing for reduced hospital stays and inpatient congestion. However, there are few studies that evaluate the feasibility and safety of the use of the HaD program in the early postoperative period of different surgical procedures. The objective of our study is to compare the postoperative complications of patients undergoing bariatric surgery who used the home hospitalization program vs. conventional hospitalization. A retrospective observational study will be carried out through the review of medical records and the postoperative results of both groups will be compared.
