Dr. Yaroslau Compta (MD; PhD) got his MD at the School of Medicine of the University of Barcelona between 1995 and 2001, and completed his specialized training in Neurology between 2002 and 2006 at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. He obtained his PhD at the University of Barcelona on clinico-pathological and cerebrospinal fluid and imaging biomarker correlates of dementia in Parkinson's disease in 2013 with commendations (thesis supervisor: Dr MJ Marti), with part of the studies having been conducted during his predoctoral stay at the Queen's Square Brain Bank for Neurodegenerative Disorders (London, UK, spring 2006 and Sept 2008 - March 2009), under the supervision of Prof. AJ Lees and Prof. T. Revesz. Since April 2009 he has been a staff neurologist at the Neurology Service of Hospital Clín
