About me
Dr. Alberch is group leader of the research group Pathophysiology and Treatment of Neurodegenerative Disorders in IDIBAPS. He is also Full Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Barcelona (UB). He is the Director of the Institute of Neurosciences of the UB (María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence). He is a group leader in the CIBERNED. He is Research Director of the Centre for the Production and Validation of Advanced Therapies (CREATIO) of the Medical School of the UB. He was Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer (2008-2016) and Interim Rector (2016) at the UB. He was President of the SENC (2015-2017). He is co-founder of the spin-off, Cytes Biotechnologies (2015-).
