Eduard Guasch
Research group
- Arrhythmias and physical activity Junior group leader (R3B)
About me
Dr. Eduard Guasch is a cardiac electrophysiologyst at Clinic Barcelona and the leader of the IDIBAPS “Arrhythmias and Physical Activity” experimental research group. He completed Medical School at University of Barcelona, Cardiology specialization at Clinic Barcelona and translational research training at Dr. Stanley Nattel laboratory (Montreal Heart Insitute 2010 - 2012).
His main research interests are the study of the cardiovascular consequences of strenuous physical activity, and the mechanisms and therapy for atrial fibrillation. He has led seminal work linking strenuous exercise with an increased risk of atrial fibrillation, right ventricular arrhythmias, and vascular damage.
