Albert Pol
ICREA-IDIBAPSResearch group
- Lipid trafficking and disease Group leader (R4)
About me
Graduated in Biology by the University of Barcelona (UB) in 1993, I obtained my PhD in 1998 in the Biomedicine Dept (Faculty of Medicine, UB) supervised by Prof. C. Enrich. I joined the laboratory of Prof. RG Parton at the University of Queensland (Australia) as NHMRC Research Officer until 2001. Granted with a Ramón y Cajal contract in 2002 and recognized by the I3 program in 2006 (MICINN), I founded the 'Lipid Trafficking and Disease' group (IDIBAPS). From 2007, I’m Research Prof. in the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA). In 2011, I was further appointed as Assistant Prof. (Biomedicine Dept, Faculty of Medicine, UB) and today I combine my research in IDIBAPS with teaching.
