The non-urgent healthcare transport service originates from the need to provide non-urgent health care to people with limitations that prevent them from traveling by ordinary means of transport. It consists of the transfer between the user's home and a healthcare center, or vice versa, or between two healthcare centers, for diagnostic-therapeutic tests or specialized treatments.

The modes of non-urgent medical transport are individual or collective, in transfers that are usually scheduled, and which must be requested with sufficient time in advance of the time of transfer.
