Within this framework is also the EstimTrack program, an application that informs the family in real time about the situation of the patient who is operated and at the same time allows to improve the daily management of the Surgical Area thanks to the coordination of all the professionals through tablets and smartphones. According to Dr. Jaume Balust, head of the Clinic Anesthesiology Section and one of the creators of the program, "EstimTrack significantly reduces the distress of family members, since they know at all times what stage of the process the patient is in" .
S.O.S. Refugiats, a project that depends on everyone
The sustainability of S.O.S. Refugiats depends exclusively on the donations that are received. Thanks to actions such as the one that professionals of the Surgical Area have decided to carry out, it is possible to continue sending health personnel in the Greek camps where the refugees are trapped. Currently, more than half of the teams of programmers have returned from the camps. Donations can be made through the Clinic Intranet or by bank transfer.
