The Spanish Society of Otolaryngology awards the OLFACAT study as the best clinical work of the year
The Spanish Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Pathology (SEORL-PCF) has awarded the "Best Clinical Paper published in an international journal" 2013 Award to the OLFACAT study. This work, led by Dr. Joaquim Mullol and his IDIBAPS - Hospital Clínic team Clinical and Experimental Respiratory Immunoallergy, was published in the BMJ Open journal under the title "Furthering the understanding of olfaction, prevalence of loss of smell, and risk factors: a population-based survey (OLFACAT study)". Dr. Mullol himself is the article first author, while Dr. Concepción Marín is the last one. The award was received by Dr. Mullol during the Congress of the Spanish Society of Otolaryngology held in Madrid from October 25 to 28.
