Like every year, on Saint George’s Day, patients and professionals received their book, bookmark and rose to celebrate and share this special day. The Friends of the Clínic volunteers were in charge of carrying and distributing the 2,500 roses to all parts of the hospital.
As usual, books and bookmarks were also given to the in-patients at the hospital’s three centres. The distribution of books was possible thanks to the generous collaboration of Plataforma Editorial, Penguin Random House, the Official College of Doctors, Editorial Base, MB Agencia Literaria, Edebé, Editorial Roca, Grupo Planeta and Ediciones 62.
This year, the bookmark consists of the illustration that Cristina Losantos created pro bono in 2022, along with the winning micro story in the 8th “El Clínic Enamora” competition. This year, the prize was won by Xènia Peláez, a patient at the hospital.
