Clinicbarcelona.org increased its traffic in 2023, reaching 9,301,935 users and 16,835,833 pageviews. These figures exceed the previous year’s by 35% in terms of users and 25% in terms of pageviews and reinforce the Campus’ commitment to quality multi-format content. The website was launched in the summer of 2019 and has grown year on year.
A reflection of the Campus Clínic with health literacy as its main focus.
The website contains institutional information about the hospital, the IDIBAPS research centre, teaching activity and the Campus Clínic’s commitment to user health literacy: PortalCLÍNIC. Launched in 2017, this project became the foundation and cornerstone of the current site and has 230 permanent health-related items, including information on diseases, tests and procedures as well as healthy lifestyle tips.

Patients and professionals are the two main audiences around which the website information is structured. The quality information helps reduce patient uncertainty, minimizes the psychological effects of illnesses, introduces healthy habits and improves compliance with treatments, which results in better health outcomes. At the same time, the website provides quality information aimed at professionals who want to learn more about the Hospital Clínic’s activities in this field.
ClínicBarcelona.org received the Avedis Donabian 2019 award for the best health website, and the PortalClínic the award for the best communication action from the Association of Journalists in 2018.
