The report on the 2024 project, which is now available for consultation, highlights the collective impact achieved thanks to the participation of thousands of readers, who have contributed 6,435 book reviews to fund 1,037 hours of cancer research.
This success would not have been possible without the key support of the Booksellers’ Guild of Catalonia and the Collserola Foundation, which form part of the project, as well as the participating bookshops and the community, with the notable involvement of young school students who have been the real driving force behind an initiative that promotes values such as solidarity, culture and hope. The commitment of professionals from the Hospital Clínic and IDIBAPS has also been fundamental. As ambassadors for the project, they have played an essential role in the link between society and science.
The 2024 “Let’s Turn the Page!” report provides a complete overview of the impact achieved thanks to everyone's involvement. It highlights the transformative role of young people who have shown that reading is a powerful tool for change, as well as the role of reading sponsors who, with their generosity, have turned each review into 10 minutes of research. Through testimonials and key indicators, the report reflects the spirit of solidarity that defines the project, whilst pointing out the future perspectives for consolidating “Let’s Turn the Page!” as an annual benchmark movement for solidarity and research.
“Let’s Turn the Page!” not only transforms books into research, it also unites different generations and sectors around a common cause: advancing cancer research and improving global health. With the 2025 edition already underway, the project is striving to continue growing, mobilizing an increasingly large and supportive reading community, focused on research and patient care at the Campus Clínic.
“LET’S TURN THE PAGE! Books against Cancer”, let’s turn reading into health.
