Science, Technology and IDIBAPS at Saló de l’Ensenyament 2009


This year’s edition of Saló de l’Ensenyament is being held from 18 to 22 March. This fair is already a classic event for those who have not yet decided what to study in the future or who want to broaden their education. The fair provides the most complete range of resources for taking decisions, with representatives from many areas of teaching, such as secondary education, vocational training, university studies, complementary studies, languages, occupational training and education services.

Of note is the creation of the Science and Technology Zone, which opens a door onto the work of universities, research centers, businesses, technological associations, etc. The aim of this area is to provide a close-up view of the results of scientific research and technological innovation. IDIBAPS is present at the EventLab stand, where you will find representatives of the Systems Neuroscience team led by María V. Sánchez-Vives.

The proposed activities are the following:

Do you think that our corporate image is fragile? Do you think that we could feel the arm of a dummy as part of our body? Do you think that, in the future, we will be able to control machines, computers or prostheses by thought? Come and experience it with the rubber arm and the brain-computer interface and virtual Olympics, and find the answers to these questions.
