Rosa Oliveras is the New Director of General Services at Hospital Clínic

In March, Ms. Rosa Oliveras joined Hospital Clínic de Barcelona as the new director of general services, following the retirement of Mr. Dionís Bel, the former director of logistics. Ms. Oliveras holds a degree in pharmacy from the University of Barcelona, a diploma in food biotechnology from UPC and a master’s in economics and business management from IESE. In her new position, answerable to Hospital Management, Ms. Oliveras will be responsible for the areas of logistics, purchasing and catering. Her appointment marks the end of the phase of renovation of the governing body of Hospital Clínic, a process that began at the end of 2008 with the arrival of the new CEO and Managing Director, Raimon Belenes.

The professional career of Ms. Oliveras in operational management and general and catering services in hospitals began in 1987, with 15 years’ experience in the ICS, first as director of general services at the Vall d’Hebron Maternity and Children’s hospital and then as director of catering in the former Ciutat Sanitària, where she was responsible for defining and managing service and quality standards in the non-patient care support areas: catering, cleaning, laundry, and other services. Her last position before joining Hospital Clínic was as manager of central support services for the Ordre Hospitalari Germans de Sant Joan de Déu, where she was responsible for developing and putting into operation a new central general services operation for the hospitals of the order located in the Barcelona metropolitan area.

Rosa Oliveras has also been a professor of health care management at EADA since 1995.
