The projects were divided into three main areas. Among the basic research studies, speakers highlighted the ones about heart development in embryo, the formation of valves and the heart's electrical signal. In the field of epidemiological research, they highlighted works based on environmental and genetic factors that contribute to the development of cardiovascular diseases, important studies because they could facilitate the design of preventive health policies and directly affect the quality of life of citizens. Finally, among the works led to cardiovascular therapy, the one that proposes a bioprosthesis for the myocardial scars was underlined.
