Researchers molecularly characterise a little-studied group of lymphomas in children and young adults

This group of non-Hodgkin B-cell lymphomas has characteristics that fall between two of the most common and aggressive lymphomas affecting paediatric patients. An IDIBAPS-Hospital Clínic Barcelona team has managed to classify these cases based on alterations of the MYC gene in the tumour cells. 

Understanding the molecular, morphological and clinical characteristics of these lymphomas can facilitate the diagnosis and prognosis of the disease.
