Prof. Jordi Alberch, new elected president of the Spanish Society of Neuroscience
Prof. Jordi Alberch, head of the Cellular biology of pathological processes IDIBAPS team at the Faculty of Medicine of the UB and vice-rector of Research, Innovation and Transfer of the UB, has been appointed elected president of the Spanish Society of Neuroscience (SENC) for the period 2013-2015. This prestigious scientific institution, which is composed by about one thousand members, has among its main objectives to promote the research on neuroscience, to foster the collaboration with societies and other national and international research institutions, to facilitate the integration of the research focused on the different organization levels of the nervous system, and to inform about results and implications of the advances done in neuroscience.
