As part of the extensive program of activities of the Civic Center, this cycle aims to bring to society, in an interesting and applied way, the challenges of modern medicine and the progresses being achieved in the field of biomedical research. Prominent researchers from IDIBAPS will visit the Auditorium of the Civic Centre Urgell to share knowledge in areas as diverse as cardiology or the olfactory sense. After the proposals planned for the first quarter of the year, new talks will be announced soon.

IDIBAPS starts at the Urgell Civic Centre a cycle of scientific popular presentations entitled "In the pursuit of health"
Dr. Anna Novials opened the science dissemination cycle "The search for health", developed by the IDIBAPS and the Urgell Civic Center. The talk was titled "My sugar is high. What can I do, Doctor? How and why should we control diabetes". During her presentation, Dr. Novials, researcher and specialist in diabetes, provided tips to manage diabetes and a basic overview of the latest developments in science and technology in this disease. There was an intense interaction with the public, and both the speaker and the attendants were satisfied with the experience. The cycle includes presentations by top-level researchers from IDIBAPS for the following months.
