The event was held at the Academy of Medical Sciences and Health of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands and was widely attended by representatives of the scientific community. It was presented by Nuria Solé and Roger de Gràcia, the conducters of the latest edition of the Telethon, and was attended by the Minister of Health of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Boi Ruiz, the President of the Academy of Medical Sciences and Health of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, Àlvar Net, and president of the Catalan Broadcasting Corporation and the Board of TV3 Telethon Foundation, Brauli Duart. All of them pointed out the importance of the TV3 Telethon, for both the solidarity of the people who make the donations and the boost for biomedical research.
This edition is funding the largest amount of projects and is the greatest investment in research that it has been made in 22-year history of this initiative. So, over the next three years, a total of 79 research teams will work on the creation of new methods for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.

Congratulations to our winners and to all the researchers who have seen their work recognized with one of these projects from the TV3 Telethon, a very important boost for research in Catalonia. And especially thanks for every economic contribution from citizens and organizations who participated in the Telethon in 2013, making possible the development of these research projects from January 2015.
