Next 13th and 14th March IDIBAPS organizes Translational Genomics in Biomedicine workshop in Barcelona, a meeting led by Sergi Castellví Bell, Meritxell Gironella, Cristina Fillat, Silvia Beà and Luis Hernández, which aims to bring together international leaders in translational genomics applied to biomedicine.
For two days will be offered examples of the progress achieved in this field in diseases such as cancer, diabetes, hepatitis, and rare diseases. The main goal of translational research is to discover genomic diagnostic tools and innovative treatments for human genetic diseases and optimize patient health care and preventive measures.
