Research is a long and complex process. The “Code of Good Practice in Research” drafted by IDIBAPS aims to provide researchers and staff with a set of standards for not only improving the quality of research practice, but also for creating a framework of ethical behavior. This document, coordinated by Dr. Lluís Mont, has been prepared by professionals with experience in the field, and is written in a simple, straightforward, and easily accessible manner. We hope you will find it useful.
The document includes issues such as legal requirements of scientific practice, the preparation of research protocols, informed consents from patients participating in a study, maintaining data and biological samples or the authorship of research papers. This tool is available for the whole IDIBAPS community, as well as the general research community, through the IDIBAPS website.
