The event, which was highly emotional at times, was opened by Dr. Raimon Belenes, CEO and Managing Director of the Clínic, with a welcome ceremony. Also present at the table were members of the hospital’s board of directors, such as the manager, Ms. Anna Miró; the human resources director, Mr. Luis Forniés; the medical director, Dr. Josep Brugada and the nursing director, Ms. Marta Bisly. Ms. Maria Dolores Farrés, a nursing graduate, spoke on behalf of the retired members of staff. Before that, however, the guests of honor were each presented with a Hamilton commemorative clock, inscribed with the date they each left the Clínic, and a gift. The closing ceremony was performed by Dr. Brugada and Ms. Anna Miró and after the photograph session to immortalize the moment, all the guests were offered a commemorative aperitif, also in the University of Barcelona.

Hospital Clínic Acknowledges the Work of Employees who Retired in 2008
On 30 March, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona hosted the function to acknowledge the employees of Hospital Clínic who retired in 2008.
