Health Circuit wins second prize at the 2023 HITLAB Breakthrough Alliance Challenge

Health Circuit is a spin-off of Hospital Clínic-IDIBAPS that provides digital solutions in medicine. One of the products it provides, with the collaboration of the Hospital Clínic preoperative preparation unit, led by the Anesthesiology Department, is Surgifit™ a personalized physical fitness program with digital support, the goal of which is to improve the functional fitness of patients who are due to undergo surgery. The goal is to reduce postoperative complications, length of hospital stay, and use of healthcare resources. 

Thel 2023 HITLAB Breakthrough Alliance Challenge was held at the end of June. HITLAB is an organization that provides research, teaching and consultancy services in digital health to improve healthcare performance. The Surgifit™ initiative won second prize. The winners were chosen “based on the innovation, scalability, sustainability, and impact of the proposed solution”.
