This Monday, the Merco-Health Observatory (OdS) 2023 awards were presented to the best doctors, hospitals and health administrations with the best reputation in Spain. Doctors from the Hospital Clínic Barcelona, Eduard Gratacós, director of the Hospital Clínic Institute of Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Neonatology (ICGON) and of BCNatal; Antonio Alcaraz, head of the Urology and Kidney Transplantation Service; and Àlvar Agustí, senior consultant at the Hospital Clínic Respiratory Institute (ICR); won the awards for the best specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the best urologist and the best pulmonologist in Spain, respectively.
The main aim of these awards, which have held their first edition, is to recognize and highlight the great clinical, research and management work carried out by doctors, centres and health managers in Spain. The award winners were chosen by over 4,300 doctors who participate in the MRS questionnaires, as well as managers of pharmaceutical companies.
In total, professionals from 21 different specialities have been recognized. From now on, the Merco-OdS awards will be granted annually.
