Last April, IDIBAPS's first open science policy was approved, with the aim of aligning the institute’s internal regulations with the requirements and practices of this movement at an international level. This policy takes as its pillars the previous regulation on open access to publications, extends it to research data, and adds the responsible and "FAIR" management of research data and research evaluation. The document has been drawn up by a working group with representatives of the research community and the management structure. You can consult it below:
- Open Science Policy (2023)
To promote and facilitate its implementation, several manuals and guides have been prepared, and will be expanded over time in accordance with the institution’s needs:
- Manual d’usuari d’iMarina | iMarina user manual
- Road to open access at IDIBAPS: How to deposit at UB Digital repository (DDUB)? infographic
- ORCID at IDIBAPS: Why and How to create, maintain and use your ORCID account? infographic
- Creative Commons IDIBAPS: Why and How to license your research outputs infographic
In addition, the following training and support actions will be carried out:
- Toolbox Talks, such as those already held on FAIR principles and Research assessment
- Dissemination of training resources through the weekly newsletter
- Meetings with the research groups (from September 2023)
- Support in open science-related matters
For any suggestions regarding the guides, resources or actions to facilitate the implementation of the open science policy, please contact the Scientific Coordination Office (coordinacio.cientifica@recerca.clinic.cat).
This action is organized in collaboration with Fundación Española por la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT) and Ministerio Español de Ciencia e Innovación.
