CRESIB Collaborates with the National Library on an Exhibition Examining the Fight Against Malaria

The MALARIA exhibition was inaugurated in Madrid on 17 March. This is a chronological journey that illustrates the intense fight that has been waged against malaria throughout history and in which Spain plays a leading role. The exhibition is on display at the Sala Recoletos of the National Library until 7 June.

The exhibition is organized by the National Library of Spain with the collaboration of CRESIB, The Spanish Red Cross and Obra Social Caja Madrid.

MALARIA has 3 main objectives: to raise public awareness about the problem of the disease in the world today; to show the public that malaria was of historic importance in countries with a temperate climate and to explain the ways and means in which, from different perspectives and in different historical situations, this disease was fought and, in some countries, overcome.
