The body resulting from the merger is the Clínic Barcelona-August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS).
The fusion will assure unity in both governance and scientific and strategic policy. It will also enable simplification and clarity in the management of resources, simplifying organisational and labour structures, and enhancing the impact and raising the profile of research at the Clínic Campus.
