This year has been the twenty-first edition of La Marató, the fourth one dedicated to cancer after this disease was also addressed in 1992, in 1994 and in 2004. The goal of this edition has been raising funds to finance the study of personalized cancer medicine through research projects.
Donations may be made until the March 31. After the deadline, and when the money raised will be known, La Fundació La Marato de TV3 will open the call for aid to cancer research. That will be in February next year and thereafter expert researchers may submit their work to be eligible for grants.
The Hospital Clínic organization congratulates La Marató of TV3 because of its successful initiative in which we're working so close year after year. The effort of the community is a major boost for research, especially in an adverse moment to obtain economic resources.
