Clínic Barcelona and the family of Marc Grau present the 'Charity Concert Tribute to Marc Grau,' a benefit event aimed at raising funds for cancer research. The concert will take place on October 3rd at Sala Razzmatazz and will focus on the life and legacy of Grau, who passed away 25 years ago due to cancer.
Recognized for his fundamental contribution to Catalan rock, Marc Grau was an exceptional talent as a musician and producer, defining the sound of Catalan rock music in the 90s. Grau, who worked with iconic figures such as El Último de La Fila, Els Pets, Sopa de Cabra, Sisa, Umpah-Pah, and Lax’n’Busto, among others, left a body of work that is crucial to understand the music of the 80s and 90s that we continue to celebrate and listen to. With this concert, we aim to pay tribute to him, following the spirit of the 2001 and 2011 editions, while we join forces in the fight against cancer, a cause that impacts so many families today and that was the cause of the producer and guitarist's death.
The night will be filled with music and memories with live performances from confirmed artists such as Els Pets, Quimi Portet, Gerard Quintana, Joan Masdéu, members of Lax’n’Busto like Pemi Fortuny and Pemi Rovirosa, The Hornets with Pantxulo, Adrià and Paula Jornet, Marc Grau jr... More confirmations of artists and friends who will collaborate with this charity event are expected in the weeks leading up to the concert.
The proceeds from the Charity Concert Tribute to Marc Grau will go to cancer research carried out at Clínic Barcelona-IDIBAPS. Research and development of new therapies are key to advancing treatment, and the support of society is essential to continue making significant progress.
Tickets for the 'Charity Concert Tribute to Marc Grau' are already on sale through See Tickets, which joins Razzmatazz and RGB in efforts to collaborate on the event.
