An International study proves that Huntington’s disease alters neurons since they start developing

Huntington’s disease could alter neurons since they start developing, according to a study conducted by the international HD iPSC Consortium, which counts with the participation of the team of the Laboratory of Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine of the Department of Biomedicine of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the UB, led by Josep M. Canals, from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona and the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS). The study, published in the scientific journal Nature Neuroscience, counts with the collaboration of the experts of the UB Mónica Pardo, Gerardo García, Marco Straccia, Phil Sanders and Jordi Alberch.
