The breakfast raised a total of 1,311.35 euros, which will be donated to two NGOs closely linked to the Campus Clínic. Several Campus Clínic professionals are involved with these NGOs, which provided support during the disaster in the Valencian Community:
- EREC, Rescue and Emergency Team of Catalonia, a nonprofit organisation primarily composed of firefighters, healthcare staff and K9 units focused on responding to emergencies and disasters. - Acció solidària i logística, which designs and implements development cooperation projects and responds in emergencies. At this link, you can read more about their efforts during the DANA disaster in the Valencian Community.
The solidarity breakfast initiative, which is being implemented in several research centres, was launched at the CEK in late 2023. So far, money has been collected for different organisations, such as Babies Uganda, Fundació Esclerosi Múltiple, Noma Echoes and the Apindep Ronçana consumer cooperative.
