A one-day work forum is held to reflect on research management at IDIBAPS

The session, which was part of the preparation for the institution’s new Strategic Plan, served to reflect on how research and innovation management can continue to evolve in an increasingly dynamic and changing environment. 

On Wednesday of last week, 25 September, a work forum session was held in which more than fifty professionals from the research management and scientific platforms of IDIBAPS reflected on and proposed ideas to continue improving the institution’s research management. 

The activity, which was held at the Palau Macaya, addressed seven main issues: 

  • The institution’s culture 
  • Talent and leadership 
  • Organisational structure 
  • Cross-disciplinary management processes 
  • Internal communication and dissemination 
  • New management technologies and methodologies 
  • Interaction of IDIBAPS with the ecosystem of the Campus Clínic and other national and international research centres 

The reflections and conclusions that were obtained will serve to inspire new actions for the next IDIBAPS Strategic Plan. The aim is for research management to form an integral part of the institution, and to be characterised by transparency, efficiency, flexibility, collaboration and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for cutting-edge research.
