Clinical research unit (3 Tesla)

  • MR scanner for human imaging: 3 Tesla Siemens Prisma Fit, Gradients XR System: (80/200), with E11c software. Available coils are:
    • 20-channel head/neck coil 440 mm × 330 mm × 370 mm
    • 32-channel head coil 300 mm × 390 mm × 315 mm
    • 64-channel head/neck coil 435 mm × 395 mm × 350 mm
    • 18-channel body coil
    • 32-channel column coil
  • VisuaStim Digital Visual and auditive stimulus presentation systems to perform functional MRI studies (Presentation, VisuaStim Digital)
  • Screen for visual stimulus projection.
  • Remote control to register the subject response in task-based functional MRI.

Experimental imaging unit (7 Tesla)

  • MR scanner for imaging small animal or tissue samples (7 Tesla Bruker Biospec 70/30, gradients system 400mT/m with Paravision 6.0 software) equiped with specific coils for mice and rat imaging:
    • Volume coil for mouse body: inner diameter of 35 mm
    • Volume coil for rat body: inner diameter of 72 mm
    • Volume coil for guinea pig or small rabbit: inner diameter of 154 mm
    • Surface coil 2 x 2 array for rat brain
    • Surface coil for mouse brain
    • Surface cardiac coil 4 x 1 surface array (with CINE acquisition sequence)
  • Inhalation anesthetic delivery system including animal monitoring
  • 1 PCs for image processing and analysis

Image analysis and processing laboratory:

  • 2 workstation and 16 PCs.
  • Analysis software: MatLab, LCModel, Freesurfer, FSL, itkSNAP, RAIM Alma, MIStar, and Rocketship.
