Call for a predoctoral contract for training in health research (PFIS)
1. JOB DESCRIPTION: The IDIBAPS Atherosclerosis, Coronary Disease and Heart Failure group offers to apply for a predoctoral contract of the PFIS program (4 years) associated with the research project: “Rejuvenating effects of rapamycin on adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells to optimize their therapeutic potential in chronic myocardial ischemia” (FIS PI21/00565).
2. REQUIRED:
a) Applicants must be able to be admitted or enrolled in an officially accredited doctoral program at a Spanish university for the 2022-2023 academic year (the official call has not yet been published but you can consult the year 2021 on the MICINN website/Aids for predoctoral contracts for training in health research AES 2021), which can be accredited after the application and until the end date of the period of allegations.
b) Any publication in an indexed journal and presentations at scientific meetings.
c) Interest in the area of cardiovascular diseases and cardiac regeneration.
d) Willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team.
e) Accredit a good level of English.
f) Accredit training as research staff in experimental animals (category C). Experience in surgery in higher mammals (porcine model) will be valued.
g) Experience in the following experimental techniques will also be valued: cell culture, large animal models of myocardial infarction, histology techniques.
3. FUNCTIONS: The tasks to be carried out will be, among others:
a) Basic experimental laboratory work, cultures and animal experimentation.
b) Support in processing biological samples for cell culture and histological analysis.
c) File support and computer analysis of data related to the processed samples.
