  • Advanced Therapies

    Coordination of the transfer of basic research in advanced therapies from the Hospital Clínic to its clinical application, through the scientific evaluation of the projects, the alignment of eff­orts and the evaluation and distribution of available resources.

  • Pharmacovigilance

    Research on the molecular and pathophysiological mechanisms of adverse drug reactions and implementation of active pharmacovigilance systems that allow optimizing the detection of adverse drug reactions in a context of real clinical practice.

  • Support to clinical research: Design, methodology, regulatory, project management, monitoring, data management and statistics

    Optimization of methodological and statistical support for clinical research and full-service CRO for phase I-IV clinical trials sponsored by academic investigators and pharmaceutical companies. It is developed within the framework of the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) and the IDIBAPS Medical Statistics Platform.

  • Ethics in clinical research

    Search for quality and the extent and context of application of current ethical principles in clinical research projects. It is developed in group studies and as support to researchers off­ered by the CEIm Technical Secretary, integrated within the Drug Research Ethics Committee (Àrea del Medicament of Hospital Clínic of Barcelona).

  • Pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics

    Development of studies to relate genetics with the activity and response to the action of drugs.

  • Coordination of multinational projects and research networks

    Active collaboration in national clinical research networks, such as SCReN (Spanish clinical Research Network), to carry out multicenter clinical research projects.
