Teaching and training at Clínic

Reading time: 1 min

The arthroscopy section has solid experience in teaching and training, both for resident medical interns (MIR in Spanish) and for international doctors who come for training stays.

The section also manages the Fellowship programmes in Arthroscopic Surgery, Fellowship in Hand Surgery, and Fellowship in Shoulder Surgery. All these are part of the University of Barcelona's one-year Masters programme. These programmes are aimed at doctors already specialising in orthopaedic surgery who wish to become qualified in different specific areas, in this case, arthroscopy.

Two positions are available each year for specialist doctors who wish to participate in the Clinic's healthcare activities and collaborate in research projects as part of this master's programme.

Two courses have also been run at the national level for specialist doctors. One of these focused on the correction of knee deformities and the other on intrinsic shoulder pathology. Over the years, the professionals in this section have been speakers at numerous national and international arthroscopy congresses. They have also participated as lecturers in various courses in this speciality.
