Treating Thyroiditis at Hospital Clínic

Reading time: 1 min

A patient with thyroiditis can receive follow-up both in the primary care and hospital settings. This is determined by the patient's symptoms, as well as the presence of hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. This means that it is difficult to establish the number of new cases treated and the number of cases receiving follow-up care.

Hospital Clínic organises patient outreach events, as well as training talks for primary care doctors within the hospital's catchment area and for internal medicine specialists at the hospital. In addition, the Endocrinology and Nutrition Service at Hospital Clínic actively participates in the relevant societies both in Catalonia (Societat Catalana d'Endocrinologia i Nutrició; SCEN) and Spain (Sociedad Española de Endocrinología y Nutrición; SEEN).
