Treating hyperthyroidism at the Clínic

Hyperthyroidism is a disease treated by endocrinology specialists in both primary care and hospital care settings. Each year, approximately 60-80 new cases are treated at Hospital Clínic and some 400 patients receive follow-up care.  

Hospital Clínic organises patient outreach events, as well as training talks for primary care healthcare professionals within the hospital's catchment area and for internal medicine specialists at the hospital. In addition, the Endocrinology and Nutrition Service at Hospital Clínic actively participates in the relevant societies both in Catalonia (Societat Catalana d'Endocrinologia i Nutrició; SCEN) and Spain (Sociedad Española de Endocrinología y Nutrición; SEEN).
