The people considered to be at high risk of hereditary digestive cancer include:

  • Familial colorectal cancer: families with several cases of this tumour, without an inherited mutation. This is the most common form.
  • Patients with polyposis: patients with multiple (>20) colorectal polyps. These lesions are precursors of colorectal cancer.
  • Patients with advanced polyps: patients who present lesions, the characteristics of which mean they are more likely to develop cancer.
  • Hereditary digestive cancer: families with a mutation that causes a predisposition to cancer.
