There are side effects that are common and frequent to all hormone treatment modalities and others that are more specific and depend on the type of drug administered.

  • Sexual changes.
  • Loss of bone mass: osteoporosis and therefore an increased risk of fractured bones.
  • Loss of muscle mass and lack of physical strength.
  • Endocrine alterations.
  • Weight loss.
  • Mood swings.

  • Growth of breasts (gynecomastia).
