Adverse effects of the Hormone therapy

There are side effects that are common and frequent to all hormone treatment modalities and others that are more specific and depend on the type of drug administered.
In men:
- Sexual changes.
- Loss of bone mass: osteoporosis and therefore an increased risk of fractured bones.
- Loss of muscle mass and lack of physical strength.
- Endocrine alterations.
- Weight loss.
- Mood swings.
- Tiredness.
- Growth of breasts (gynecomastia).
In women:
- Tiredness.
- Nausea.
- Muscle and bone pain.
- Loss of bone mass: osteoporosis.
- Headaches.
- Hot flushes.
- Mild vaginal bleeding.
- Pruritus.
- Weight gain.
- Mood swings.
