ToolBox, IDIBAPS Talk Series: Publishing at Journal of Experimental Medicine, JEM: What, How and Why?

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 15h, will take place the session 'Publishing at Journal of Experimental Medicine, JEM: What, How and Why?' that will feature Montserrat Cols as Scientific Editor at JEM journal. After the session, IDIBAPS researchers, regardless of their career level, will have the opportunity to meet with the expert.

During the session, the peer-review process and life of a manuscript at the JEM will be explored. Some useful tips on types of manuscripts, scope, cover letters and follow up will be presented to allow researchers to know what JEM editors expect from them. Useful information will be provided to all researchers willing to publish at one of the leading academic scientific journals of current times.

Montserrat Cols is an Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona graduate and received her PhD from Keele University in the United Kingdom. Then, in the United States of America, she was trained with Dr. Andrea Cerutti at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and more recently worked with Dr. Jayanta Chaudhuri at the Sloan Kettering Institute. Throughout her training and appointments, her particular focus has been on many aspects relating to B cell biology. She joined the JEM as a Scientific Editor in 2020.

This activity is open to people from inside and outside the institution. It is a hybrid event, it will be possible to participate directly in the Esteve Auditorium of the Esther Koplowitz Center or via Zoom. To access digitally it is necessary to register in advance to receive a personal connection link, there is time until the same day to do so.
