Solidarity breakfast for the benefit of the Menino Jesus de Manhiça orphanage, Mozambique

The solidarity breakfasts at CEK are monthly bake sales when a group of volunteers bake and sell cakes or pastries to raise money for a charitable cause. IDIBAPS provides free coffee to anyone who brings their own glass or mug.  

This time, the profits will go to the Menino Jesús de Manhiça orphanage, Mozambique, which works towards the integration and reintegration of young and teenage girls in vulnerable situations. 

The driving force behind the launch of the solidarity breakfast at the CEK is Rebeca Santano, an ISGlobal researcher at the Campus Clínic, who also coordinated the first breakfast. So far, money has been raised for different organisations, such as Babies Uganda, Fundació Esclerosi Múltiple, Noma Echoes and the Apindep Ronçana consumer cooperative. The most recent breakfast was for the victims of DANA in the Valencian Community.
