Loss of smell in COVID time

Auditorium. Civic Center Golferichs. Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 491, 08015 Barcelona

"Cycle of informative talks In search of health".

Loss of smell has affected 7 out of 10 people who have suffered COVID-19, with a predominance in women and young people. Most have recovered quickly and spontaneously, but almost 1 in 3 has suffered chronic alterations. No treatment has demonstrated clinical efficacy. Only olfactory training, carried out daily and for a long period of time, has shown efficacy in their recovery.

By Joaquim Mullol i Miret, director of the Rhinology and Olfactory Clinic Unit of the ENT Service of Hospital Clínic and Head of the Clinical and Experimental Respiratory Immunoallergy Research Group of IDIBAPS.

Talk in Catalan. Free admission. Limited seating, prior reservation is required.

This activity is supported by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).
