IDIBAPS open day

IDIBAPS, the biomedical research institute of excellence linked to the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, is organizing an open day on Friday afternoon, November 11, so that the public can learn about the research being carried out at the center. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the laboratories and scientific platforms. In addition, there will be scientific workshops for children. The activity is set within the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of IDIBAPS.

To participate, it is necessary to fill this form and choose between the three available shifts: 17:00 h, 18:00 h and 19:00 h.

About IDIBAPS

IDIBAPS is a public consortium formed by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona and the Institute of Biomedical Research of Barcelona of the CSIC. The center has 1,700 professionals, organized into a hundred groups dedicated to the study of the most common diseases in our environment.

Throughout these 25 years, IDIBAPS has become the main biomedical research center in Catalonia and the Iberian Peninsula. The knowledge generated at IDIBAPS (more than 30,000 scientific articles in the 25 years of history) has allowed a better understanding of the main diseases affecting the population and has opened the door to fight them more effectively, with new treatments, protocols and clinical guidelines to improve the quality of life of patients.
