About me
Núria Guañabens, is Chair of Medicine at the University of Barcelona (UB) and is Consultant Senior of the Rheumatology Department at the Hospital Clinic in Barcelona. Dr. Guañabens trained in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology and obtained her PhD from the UB. She has published more than 170 peer-reviewed papers. She was awarded with the Professional Excellence Award from the Medical Association of Barcelona and the Steven Boonen Award. She is Past-President of the Catalan Society of Rheumatology and the Spanish Society for Bone and Mineral Research. She is currently Senior Editor of Bone, and she coordinates the Metabolic bone diseases Working Group at the Spanish Society of Rheumatology.
