María Reig

After graduating in Medicine in Argentina in 2001, and training in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation, in 2008 I joined the BCLC, in 2019 I obtained the position of Head of the Hepatic Oncology Unit of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and in 2021, I became the head of Hepatic Oncology at IDIBAPS/FUNDACIO. My area of interest is the development of prognostic models for patients with liver cancer and evaluation of treatment options, with an emphasis on systemic therapy. I obtained a Degree in Immuno-Oncology at the Univ. of Navarra which has facilitated the opening of a new area of research on immunology, modulation and appearance of cancer after antiviral treatment.
