About me
Dr. Maria Ascaso received her medical degree from the University of Valencia, Spain in 2014. She trained in cardiac surgery at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, Spain (2015-2020). She moved to Toronto, Canada to complete a clinical fellowship in advanced adult cardiac surgery at Toronto General Hospital (2021-2022). She is currently working as a consultant at the Hospital Clinic, back in Barcelona. Her interests focus on aortic and mitral valve repair techniques and aortic surgery. She is currently working on her PhD project.
